I'm a Christian, a father, and a photographer — in that order.

My faith is the most important thing in my life. It shapes how I see people and the world around me.

Photography has been the mechanism that enables me to experience something new. It is the conduit that connected me to a person, or an environment. That's why I love it, and as long as that continues, I'll make photographs.

A few youthful sparks that led to twenty-five years of traveling and shooting across 30 countries.

• A small town in southwest England. Dinner with a friend, wine, passionate conversation about Edward Weston's portraits. Followed by a day photographing the dunes by the sea.

• Hitchhiking across the United States. In my youth, with barely any money and a 35mm Canon, listening to drivers' stories, stopping for portraits, and one very scary ride through the Nevada desert.

• A studio over Chelsea Market. Fresh out of school, sleeping in the studio and working endless hours, learning from world-class photographers.

Now I lead a team of experienced producers, stylists, and crew. We are enthusiastic problem solvers, travelers, collaborators, and owners of fantastic luggage.
